How can I join 9flats?
It only takes a minute to sign up to 9flats – and it’s completely free. Just click ‘Log in’ at the top of the homepage, then click ‘Not a member yet?’ and sign up instantly with Facebook, or enter your name, email address and a password.
Once you’re a member, you can book places to stay, rent out your place, add friends and create a list of your favourite accommodation. You’ll receive regular offers, recommendations and travel tips by email, and can earn 9flats travel credit when you invite your friends and leave reviews.
Why should I fill out my profile?
9flats is based on mutual trust. On one hand, guests are looking stay in an accommodation owned by a host they haven’t met before. On the other, host are giving their keys to a guest they don’t know.
A completed profile is an important way of getting to know each other before meeting. Your credibility as a guest or host dramatically increases when you’ve uploaded an image of yourself. Also, places with host photos are clicked six times more than places without. And booking requests are confirmed more often when they have a photo and some personal information. How do I fill out my profile properly?
A picture speaks a thousand words. So no better place to start than uploading a photo of yourself. Log in to your 9flats profile then click ‘Edit profile’ and then ‘Upload photo’ Make sure you add a friendly photo with your face clearly visible.
We also recommend that you introduce yourself in the ‘About me...’ box. For example where you’re from, where you live, why you joined 9flats and what you’re passionate about. When you’re done, click the ‘Save’ button.
Host tip: Enter your mobile phone number in the field 'Text message notification'. This way we are able to inform you via text message of new booking enquiries for your place. Moreover, you have the option of accepting or rejecting the booking query via text message. This service is free of charge.
Are my details visible to others?
Only your first name, city, age, job and profile description are shown online. Your surname, email address and phone number are never shown publicly. These details are only exchanged between guests and hosts when a booking is confirmed. They’re then visible in your profile to the guest or host until 14 days after check-out.
I’ve forgotten my password. How do I get a new one?
These things happen. On the log in page, click ‘Forgot your password?’, then enter the email address you used to sign up to 9flats, and click ‘Reset my password’. We’ll send you an email with a link for you to reset your password.

What if I cannot log on to my account anymore?
Please first check whether you have tried to log on with the right email address and your 9flats password. If that is the case then maybe you have not confirmed your membership. Just request the confirmation email again and click on the link sent. Should you still have any difficulties then please get in touch with our customer service.
How can I get another confirmation link via email?
Have you already checked whether the confirmation email has maybe landed in your spam or junk filter? Should you not be able to find it, that’s no problem. We will send you a new one. For this click on the link 'Haven't received confirmation instructions?' that can be found on the ’Register' page, enter your email – that you registered with at 9flats – and click on the button 'Send'. Now check your mailbox and simply follow the instructions in the email.
