How to start renting out your place

What kind of accommodation can be listed?

Feel free to list any place you want with us. Maybe you own a treehouse that you’ve already spent some nights in? Or you whittled your own ice-palace and would like to enjoy some company? Maybe you transformed a giant wine barrel into a comfortable little home, where you can spend the night? Or your place lies in deep water and fish greet you from outside your window? Well, you just found the right site to list with. Share your idea with others and let them experience your creation.

How do I list my property on 9flats.com?

It's quick and easy. Just follow these five steps:

  1. Click the List a place button at the top right of the page
  2. Describe your accommodation and fill out the boxes
  3. Add great pictures
  4. Click Save & continue
  5. See what your place will look like, then click Publish when you’re happy

That’s it! You should then go to Edit place and add all your amenities, so more guests can find you. You can see how easy it is to list your place in this how-to video and this factsheet.

What do you mean by ‘detailed description’?

Put yourself in the position of the guest. What information is useful for them? What great features will make your place attractive? Balcony? WiFi? Retro design? As well as a detailed description of your home, it’s also helpful to add more information about the local area, including shops, cafes, events and public transport connections.

Can I list more than one place?

Yes, you can add as many places as you like. You can even manage rooms or apartments of friends and family. If you’re a professional host with a lot of places, ask us about Parallel Booking and you can then simply show one ‘sample room’ that can be rented out many times. This way it’s easy to manage multiple places without having to list them all.

Do I have to pay anything?

Listing your place is free. Then, 15% commission is taken from your total payout when someone books your place. For example, if you charge €100 a night for one night, you’ll receive €85.
