What can I expect as a guest?
The charm of 9flats is that every accommodation is different, however there are some things you can rely on with every booking:
- Upon arrival, a clean apartment
- Fresh sheets and towels
- A punctual, friendly key-exchange
- No nuisance caused by noise or construction, unless you’ve been told in advance
It goes without saying, but you should of course respect the host’s property:
- Treat their home with care
- Leave the place as you found it
- Follow any house rules
If in doubt: ask your host! For example, whether it’s ok to use personal belongings such as books and DVDs.
How does check-in and key pick-up work?
You arrange the time and place to pick up keys personally with your host. Once your booking is confirmed, contact the host through our internal messaging system. It's very easy: go to the accommodation profile and then click the blue ‘Contact’ button under the host’s profile photo. You’ll also receive contact details in your confirmation email. For your peace of mind, we recommend you meet your host outside the accommodation, for example in a local café. Here are more tips for staying safe when staying with 9flats.
Do I need to clean the place?
The good news is: you don’t have to clean the place yourself before check out, that host takes responsibility for this. The host can decide whether or not to charge a cleaning fee, and how much to charge. If there’s a cleaning fee, you’ll see it in your booking details box, and it will be included in your total booking amount.
